Unbroken set penalty rule — a 30-second penalty applied as follows:
- Only applicable if the athlete completed all pull-ups before the muscle-up.
- The athlete had to wait 30 seconds after failing the muscle-up, or after choosing to rest before it, before moving on.
- The full number of pull-ups in each unbroken set had to be completed to avoid the penalty in case of a break. Breaking a set of 20 pull-ups at rep 17 meant performing the pull-up set again.
